Seeing the 21st of December is the longest day of the year I thought a long ride might be in order. Leaving South Nowra Maccas around 6.30am. The plan is to head down south down the hwy until Porters Creek Rd then take that until we hit Tianjarra Fire Trail. From the over to Yarramunmun Fire Trail then drop into Yalwal and climb out and head back to Nowra. Probably around 140kms. And you will need enough water to cover nearly all of it. Unless we arrange a restocking at Tianjarra Falls. I have 3 starters so far. Anymore takers

Hmm!! It would be nice to use all this unusable Husky 100 fitness but I really can't see my a$$e lasting for 150-180km!! Are you just going to road ride it down to Pointers Gap? I just talked to a mate about this and maybe we meet you there and then bug out at Deans Gap Rd and head home from there rather than back to Nowra. I like to ride Tianjara and Yaramumuinumunmm...

You might be better off meeting us down the end of 12mile Rd then when you do Tianjarra you can peel off to the top of 12mile then back to your car. Would probably be about 60kms maybe less. Yarramumunmunmunmunmunmnumnunmnunm is a long pretty boring run. But it's all downhill.

Nah! Happy to do 100+ but I'm not so keen on 150+. I'll check out a few maps and have a think about a cunning plan...

Looks good Lewy.
How are you planning on getting from Nowra to Pointers Gap Rd? Are you just riding down the highway on the road or are there trails to get there offroad?

Was just planning on going straight down the hwy I'm going to skip the road ride as I'm not keen on riding down highways. However I'd like to meet you at Pointers Gap Rd and join you up Tianjara FT and Yaranumumummunum FT. I'll then bug out at Yalwal and head home via Deans Gap Rd/Turpentine/Hell Hole and Tomerong. It will be a shorter ride but I'd still like to join you for part of it if that's ok. I reckon you will be a solid 2 hours from Maccas to Pointers Gap Rd (46kms) so I can aim to meet there at about 8:30am. Does that sound right to you?

Just a quick update, Lewy is broken at the moment some suspected fractured vertebrae and no riding for 4 to 6 weeks. He has done his annual XMAS hospital visit and outdone last years efforts. Looking to be in hospital for a couple of days then at home for a quiet spell. Someone will need to co-ordinate the ride or move it to another day in the future. Falling out of cars in car parks, asphalt is just not fun to land on...

Way to go Lewy, timing is perfect as usual, not quite as inventive as last year though. Not sure who else was riding but are we still going?
