I need a longer distance training run before the HTFU Epic.
Bomo train station for the 6.27am train to Thirroul.
Cruise back to Kiama then ride the coastal walk to Gerringong and train it back to Nowra.
About 80kms all up.

3 all up mate. The elusive Rats is promising to make an appearance. But going on past form I am not holding my breath. If I am feeling good at Gerringong I may attempt to ride all the way home to Nowra via Comerong Island. I just realised that tomorrow is the 10th not the 11th  I best go out and give the Reign some TLC. |

Well it was a good ride today with Russ and Rats. Got to Thirroul just after 8am and had some breakfast. Headed off and Rats showed how not to do a clipped in wheelie Next time he does a wheelie I am going to film it. ;D It was a good ride down the coast with only one photo stop before Kiama  After a Heavy SCUM training lunch at Red Rooster, Rats headed off for the train while Russ and myself sussed out the coastal walk. We had 3 hours to kill before the train got to Gerringong. It took me a little while but I finally got one good shot of the little blow hole.  Russ crossed a tiny creek. We then headed onto the Coastal Walk. Riding on grass sucks but we finally got there. The view is good though.     Now for crossing the real creek, or attempting too The sand got soft in the middle and I couldn't fight the current. Then it was on to Gerringong where we kicked back and relaxed for 40 minutes before getting on the train back to Bomo.  94kms all up with the ride to and from the station. app.strava.com/rides/2642245 |
