AGM is fast approaching so I should start spruiking my marvelous achievements. - No agreement signed
- half our races canceled
- on my second trail coordinator
- no downhill members
- one female at last race
- smashed myself up and no longer racing.
Vote me back in as president if you wish. Start thinking about what direction you want our club to go and please consider committee roles: President, up for grabs. Vice President, a new role does nothing but is there when president rides into tree has a voice but no specific role. Secretary, XC Coordinator, DH Coordinator & Trails Coordinator are positions you may wish to look at. Please feel free to discuss anything with our current committee Russ, Luke, Lewy and Myself. We are all considering our roles and SCUM direction. |

While you have had some ups and downs (and sudden stops) you forgot to mention your crowning glory 'SCUM Heavy' which is a true mark of genius.

It's won't be till June but I wanted SCUM members to start thinking and talking about it now. What's working what's not, is being on the commitee something members would like to try ect.
Once the All mountain round is over we shall sort out a date.

At next weeks AGM each member present will be given a ticket in a lucky draw.
The prize is a Solo entry in any Chocolate Foot Enduro of your choice. $80 in value.
(maybe negotiable for part teams entry).
Have a think about comittee positions.
The club has good momentum at the moment and with a strong comittee and many helpers that momentum can be built on to take the club to the next level.
If you are thinking of nominating someone talk to them first. Let them know that they will be doing great things for the club and will be assisted by the other comittee members.

I have pleasure in drawing your attention to the Annual General Meeting of the South Coast United Mountainbikers , which will be held on:
Wednesday, 27th June 2012 in the function room of the Bomaderry RSL Club located on the corner of Coomea and Bunderra Street, Bomaderry. The meeting will commence at 7pm.

We are keen for new committee members to help run SCUM and plan and execute events throughout the next 12 months. Please ensure you receive the expressed permission of the person you are nominating for an office bearer position and provide a contact phone number and preferably an e-mail address for the person to be nominated. If no nominations for the above office bearer positions are put forward before the 27th of June 2012, though not ideal, nominations will be sought at the AGM itself.

3 good reasons to become a SCUM member today
1. you can vote at tonights meeting (or even become President)
2. you can avoid day licence fees at events for a whole year
3. you can get a cheap entry in the next SCUM round (State XC round) on the 15th of July

I think we can put the poor showing down to one of two reasons: 1. In the last twelve months as president I have been so crap that no one cares anymore, in which case I thank those six who turned up for your support. 2. In the past twelve months I have led so well that members have full confidence in the me and are happy for us to keep doing as we have been, in which case thank you everyone else for your support. For those that missed the excitement, Pat is now President (Thanks Pat ;D), Russ is Secretary/treasurer and we have no trails, xc or down hill coordinators. Opportunities for others to have an input.
