After 11 days straight at work I can finally get out and sort the course for the 30/60.
I will be heading out tomorrow arvo to get the distances and will fine tune the course over the next week or so. Will need to sort out the shorter 15km one too.
I can't really see it needing a lot of work before the race but will assess that tomorrow.

I ran out of time to ride the whole thing but it looks like it might end up being a 20/40/60km race.
Heading out again Sunday.
The good news is that Butterfly Rd has been graded, so with no rain the race can start and finish at Butterfly.

Did a run over Butterfly today and cleaned up all the sticks and rocks. It's ready to go!

I am going out again tomorrow at roughly 2.30pm to ride the whole course and sort out a few sections that I got confused on yesterday. Will probably also head out again during the week after work. So will be there about 5.30am, yes I did say am

Got most of it sorted today. It will be very close to a 20km loop.
Thinking of solo and team categories that do a lap each so max of 3 in a team. Thoughts?

You obviously know I fixed the problem with the tree at the base of the pinch climb. Whole Butterfly course is now clear.

I do now, good stuff.
The start will be where the State XC rnd started on the pipeline rd.
From a suggestion from Dave today the teams can be of 2 and still do the 60kms if they want. So 1 team member does 2 laps.

So 1 team member does 2 laps. Well after talking to Russ the durt program won't support team entries in this type of event. So essentially everyone will have to register as a solo rider for either 20, 40 or 60 kms. There will be staggered starts for each distance. Now if you have a group of 2 or 3 riders that want to compete against another group of 2 or 3 for best combined time or something similar, fill your boots. ;D More info soon regarding start times, food and presentations etc.... ;D

Pat,
Would you like me to see if I can arrange for a water tanker for the day.
