*************************************** I'm thinking of using Gimlet in reverse for this Choc foot round. If any members are riding out at coondoo over the next week or so could you ride Gimlet 'the wrong way' and let me know if if needs any mods. I rode it 'the wrong way' a while ago and found it ok but just want any other opinions.
Thanks
and any parts of coondoo that need attention. ************************************************

Yes. Out of ziggy zaggy, turn right down the road then left into Gimlet.

Riders, Pat and I will be out at Coondoo on Saturday morning to assemble the crossover bridge. It needs to be up and commissioned before midday. It will be a grand thing to stand back and say you were a part of the erection of such a fine engineered piece of mountain biking apparatus. Just a few of hours of labour will result in you being like a kid at christmas wanting to ride up and over and under with most excitedness on your face. Many hands will make this job go smoothly as I am planning it will. It will be arriving on site at approx 8am Sat. Russ 0418 679948

Anybody driving to the STM event on Saturday (tomorrow) access to the trail will be through the Weymouth property. Their driveway(single lane bitumen road) is on the left of the HWY (heading south) just after the road works finish about 1km after Forest Rd intersection. It will marked and sign posted from tomorrow morning. ***** drive very slowly through this property.****** Hopefully Western Boundry Rd from Comberton Grange Rd will dry out enough for use on Sunday.

Any thoughts of actually calling this off?
Over 70mm of rain at my place so I am betting Coondoo is pretty bloody wet.
Going to take a lot of work to fix the tracks with 400 sets of wheels over 7hrs.
I know it's a big event, but is it worth it?

Gotta agree with Lewy that its not looking good for the track.
We've had a heap more rain than Nowra so maybe its better than I'm thinking, but I would have liked to see it mostly dry today to ensure good track conditions.

Yes, the right decision which again shows that Fi andJoe are fair dinkum about supporting clubs.
I think that predictions of the track being good for a large event on Sunday are very optimistic, and really it was best to try for a better date.
It would be great if people could not ride the track tomorrow at least and then use good judgement if looking to ride it on Sunday.
