Pat, agree on the Coondoo approach. Taree has left those racers with a thirst for awesome ST and as we all well know, Coondoo is AWESOME when prepped.
MK, agree too (refer my comment up the page re: AM racing).
Can we extend the AM track that was used last year, further down the forest, utilizing the road for shuttles? Or design a mutli option gravity XC trail?

Sorry but just to get this thread back on topic - is the Dig and Ride day on or not? Lots of ideas here but mothers day and the status of the logging seems to still be up in the air.
I'm in if it's on but otherwise I'm planning to be in Sydney that weekend so I need confirmation. Ta!!

Butterfly will still need some attention before the race....I thought the location of the dig and ride was being moved to Butterfly?

I was waiting for Tony to get back to me but I can't see it needing much work. Plus with mothers day and the specialized ride day it may be better to leave it. I will probably walk the whole track on Friday arvo. The new bit I want to put it will be done before the Husky100 and then it will be ridden in.

Lewy,
I was out at Butterfly today. The track is rideable but a bit rough with some minor wash outs, rocks and loose sand. Just need to take care and toughen up. I only stacked once so most will be able to negotiate without having to dust off and stem the bleeding. The new section you guys put in is fine. The track would benefit from some work but it is rideable with just a clean up.
MK.

Probably too much too look at a full clean up. But if we can get some guys out there for a general clean up it would help.

I did some work out there on Monday arvo, mainly the new bit we put in as someone had reverted it back to the old washed out track, so it's well defined now and just needs wheels over it. I rode a full lap and there has been some roots exposed and areas washed out, and its a little rough on the hardtail but pick the right lines and its ok. A few guys wandering over it kicking some rocks out of the way and taking some rough edges off and it should be fine.

Did a bit of work out at Butterfly this morning. Scratched a new piece in around one of the worst bits of the track so Lewy if your heading out there see what you think. Can revert back to old section in a couple of minutes if no good.
