Awesome perspective Lewy...soundtrack leaves a lot to be desired though.

Matt
Chest mount is my favorite but I have a vented helmet mount (more secure than a stick-on, especially in the trees), plus a handlebar mount (mainly for the option to record from an alternate POV)
The best gopro videos have a mix of a few diferent POVs and keep the viewer interested.
I favour the chesty because it gives the most real POV when watched back. Seeing the riders hands and handlebars will give the best perspective of speed and gnar.
This was shot with a handlebar mount hanging below the bars ...
What program do you plan to edit with Matt??

Awesome perspective Lewy...soundtrack leaves a lot to be desired though. I got sick of You Tube removing my music so now I use the ones they have and pick dodgy stuff ;D I try and get a few angles if I am just going out for a ride to film. It's also good to have a mini tri-pod for ground shots. My helmet has an inbuilt mount for the Go Pro which works good. I do like the under handlebar mount as in Simons video. It shows the front tyre which looks good.

I'm going to attempt to mount the pole I use for snowboarding to the front of my bike to get that 'look back at you' perspective...may stay away from navigating through tight trees though.

Pat, try to use something that will "break-away" easily, velcro straps are the first thing that comes to mind, something that will break before either the poles snap or turns you into a shish kebab. A helmet mount might be a better idea but it too has some hazards to be wary of. vimeo.com/52214380#

Matt
This video appears to have been shot 100% with the Handlebar mount, but with lots of various angles. Exactly what I was trying to convey in my first reply.
PS ..... and YES for all those reading I am 100% addicted to all things gopro, cant you tell???
