I'm sure everyone's seen the flyer, whether on the homepage of the website or Facebook, this is just a reminder to come next Saturday 22nd March and pay tribute to our late mountain biking brother Andrew the way we do it best...riding mountain bikes!! Rego is from 12:00 noon with the the first 3 hours navigating the new look 'Butterfly' from 1:00pm...The next 3 hours starts at 5:00pm (lights required for this)...do the arvo laps or the evening laps or both... For directions to 'Butterfly' click on the link on the homepage www.scum.asn.auSee you all there...

The way the track has been set up with all the work done it should be great for this format, the climbing lines are more rewarding and less taxing than the old lines, the switch backs are still there for the true Butterfly test. The forest being dry the track is hard and fast. A little rain before hand will settle the dust and allow someone to call "Hero Dirt". Should be great. Pity I'm away this weekend AHHHHH!

I'll be there with bells on ... we'll at least some sunscreen and mozzie repellant ... haven't decided how much riding will get done; hope to have a look at the timing & rego, The new track is a hoot; some hairy bits but lots of fun. G

The '3 Fat Ladies' Fat Bike team will be slowly lapping at the day race :-)
I will also be heading out at about 7am to walk the track and make sure it's all ready to go for the arvo.

Thanks to the organisers ! A well run and yet casual affair with a great vibe in the air . Was happy to hear of all the positives of the track work that has been done .
