Gutted, I have not been ill for over 18 months and I came down with a bad bout of gastro with vomiting on the Friday at practice. I couldn't ride more than half a lap on Friday and went back to Blaireys house and went to bed. I stayed there until 11am Saturday morning and made the decision to give it a go. I was going to be light thats for sure!!! I quite literally went straight out the back I couldn't believe it, I tried to keep going and not disgrace the Green and Gold too much but when I smashed my knee on the second lap it was a case of enoughs enough for Fenz. Thanks to everyone who traveled up to support and cheer it was amazing to hear all the noise and support on the climb, I just wish I was going like I was on Monday when I smashed out 5 laps  ( I am having a week off and will look at my program for 2009.
