Yep, second that one. It was race days like today that make getting out of bed early on a Sunday very much worth the effort. Henry is on the ball and has the results out already. The web site is a little sick at the moment so I will post the link here to download them from a secondary site. www.filesanywhere.com/fs/v.aspx?v=896c688f5a5f7479b197Kel.

that was an awesome race, you can never right off the "cabbage",Its fast, tight and twisty and even though the track is relatively flat there is little or no chance for a rest cos everyone is on the gas from the get go...have a look at the average speeds for the race. the "cheese grater "claims a few more victims..... Don t worry Kel your not the first and you won t be the last to come off on that corner at the transition point.......thanks guys I had a great day..

Thanks Nat. The problem is that I was LEADING the kids race around the short track at Cabbage when I sort of lost concentration and one of the speedier kids ran straight into me. The website that I use to allow people to download the results is saying that I have reach the limit for downloading. As a happy alternative, go to www.diymtb.com.au and download the results from there. Thanks Duncan for uploading this onto to your website. Cheers Kel

Sounds like a great day! Well done to the team who put it on for the 90+ riders. All comments I have heard were a resoundingly positive. Looks like there are a few people sandbagging in Sport and Sport B. 17min laps! Step up! Good to hear everyone had alotta fun.

Yeah, it was a top day - one of the best SCUM races I've ridden, probably because the track was in such great condition (thanks all those who helped with that) and it was nice and cool. Thanks heaps to everyone who ran the race. Cabbage really is a lot of fun once you find your rhythm. Just one small thing - I heard later that a couple of kids riding together were bullied off the track by some guy in a red shirt who was in too much of a hurry to be polite - apparently yelling track when he was nowhere near them yet, then shouting "Come on.... Come on!" in an angry voice when they hadn't pulled off for him immediately. It really made them feel bad afterwards and yet they did nothing wrong and are both competent riders who know how to let others pass safely. Whoever it was, remember, its just a club race - no sheep stations involved! All of us are slowed up by another rider from time to time but most people accept it as part of racing and just use it as a short rest. If the elite guys (who were all absent) can sit behind kids for a while (often giving them a good deal of encouragement) until the kid sees a good spot to let them pass, then we can all do the same. Or if you are that impatient and that fast, you should be able to overtake on the rough and leave the slower rider on the track, especially at Cabbage.

Hey the race was awesome, was motivating to see so many people, new and old. in conjuction with Megs write up, please remember, no matter how serious u r or how fast ur going, do not be mean to anyone young and old, and use track addicate, ( if thats how u spell it) because its there for everyone to use. we are all in the same boat, thank Megs 4 bringing that up. apart from that, thank you to everyone who helped make the day as good as it was. had loads of fun. see you next race. Thats almost as bad as people who abuse perfectly legal trail bike riders on a wide firetrail who where stopped and waiting.
