Someone told me of a rumoured downhill run from the top of Cambewarra to Meroo Meadow. The "Milkrun" is what it was called but he was unable to find it. I have a few Questions that someone may be able to educate me on.
1. Does or Did the "Milkrun" exist?
2. How could I Find it?
3. If these types of tracks exist would they be like good fishing spots that are only shared with a trusted few?
Cheers Matt

I have never heard of it but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
I have ridden from the top of Camby to Mt Scanzi years ago with nat though.
That was fun, apart from riding up Camby to start with

A few of the old tracks are branded "milk trails" or "milk runs", because back in the day, they were the trails used to transport milk. Part of the Meryla pass ride was called the "milk track". I'm sure I remember Tracker, (who took us on my first Meryla Pass ride) referring to another track branching off near the top, called the "butter track". Refer to Carey's post in Scum discussion, basically to ride from the top of Camby mt. going down in any direction, you pass through private property.........we've been trying for years to find a legal way down (not on the road).....

When you start talking about tracks there seems to be hidden rides all over the place (that's how the "Milkrun" came up). I did Cannon Ball (McFails) for the first time the other day and was also taken to another run that was off to the right from the base of Barrengarry, unfotunately it was very overgrown and hard to follow but looked like it was a good run once and we had fun trying to ride it, well Dunk and Dallas rode I slid along it on my Butt mostly. Just recently I've found different runs at Blackbutt, Callala and in the Valley just through chance meetings and when we chatted to a Valley local he mentioned about 4 or 5 other rides there. It's becoming another side of Mountainbiking that I'm really enjoying, "Exploring" If anyone has a "Must Do" ride please post it so I can check it out, we can get a list going. I think we can rule the Milkrun out for now but are there others. Cheers Matt
