Thanks Duncan,
thats right, the first round of our 2011 series is in 2 weeks(Jan 30), at Coondoo. SO far, including myself, we have 1 volunteer to help with proceedings. We cant go ahead unless we have atleast 3-4. 5 or 6 would be nice. Usually u can still race, we only need 2 for timing, partners are most welcome. Would be great if we could give the usual candidates the year off and let them have a go on their bikes for a change.
Last year, SCUM made it mandatory that to finishing in the placings in the championship, u must have volunteered a round. A bit harsh, but this is what it has come to! SOS to all members,........please put aside one round this year to help out your club and help us put on a successful year. Pls email me at xc@scum.asn.au, or ph on 0422 368 300, or if u cant help out this round, we will be attempting to put together some sort off roster at coondoo, all help is appreciated.
Also, tuesday night ride this week, leaving Callala Boat ramp at 7:30, for a nice ride up to Coondoo for a lap and back, approx 2-3 hours, all welcome.
Regards Craig

With our first race now only a week away, hopefully most have burn't of all that extra xmas tucker and are ready for the 2011 series. For those who haven't, thanks for volunteering for the first round next wkd. IN particular, DUncan, Matt and Russ who have let me know they will have a quality track ready for sunday. If your happy with it, pls let them know after the race. Also Dave Stuart, Nikki and Kahli will be there on Sunday helping things go smoothly, and likewise, your appreciation goes along way.
We will be putting together a volunteer roster on Sunday, I ask that all members, particuarly the adults have a look at the calendar, and commit to volunteering a round for the year. Many hands make light work. In most case, you will still be able to race. The Club is looking forward to a big and successful year and to sacrifice an afternoon or morning for the club is small price to pay, for what is the envy of alot of clubs around the state.
See ya Sunday
Craig

Hi-dilly-ho-dilly neighboreenos!
Craig/Fully Loaded/The Stig's 6pm Race Prep session this evening was a hit with 6 people turning up to lend a hand to rake some parts of the course and conduct some stick and debris removal work bringing the track up to race spec.
The 48 hr forecast look great. No clouds on the weather radar. Apparently most of the SCUM Executive will be racing tomorrow. So not 2010.
So like last Wednesday's South Coast Register proclaimed, come out to the track and have a spin. . Fingers crossed, we can get yawl racing at 9am on the dot so we have the whole thing wrapped up by midday to avoid tomorrows predicted top temperature of 31 degrees.
Byediddily-eye!!
