As advertised on the SCUM Race calendar, there will be a 4 Hour night race to be held on FRIDAY 01 April 2011 on the Coondoo track. The race is scheduled to start at 5.30pm, however, if you want to ride and cannot get there by that time, don't despair , you can still turn up and enter after the race has started. You will just have a very long first lap time recorded ;D. Categories will be solo, pairs and threes, in the male, female and mixed varieties. We are still looking for volunteers to help run the race. If you will be there as part of a team, you may be able to help out with timing during your rest period?

thanks henry, Russ Phelan and myself are volunteering to have the track prepared and will bring the trailer and organise the computers and others for race set up. However, we are both intending to ride so would like to put a call out for any persons wanting to give us a hand with lap scoring. Given its a 4hr event, 2 x 2 teams would be handy. cheers Craig

We would like to invite all to a ride/clean-up morning on saturday morning, 26th of march at 8am. That's this sat. The purpose of this is to give a heads up on the track that will be used for the 4hr ride next fri night aswell as a quick clean up of the track. Myself and russ were out there today and have come up with a great track(we think), however, we need help from as many as possible to give the track the once over , after the hammering of weather that we recieved earlier in the week. So if u have nothing on early sat morn, we encourage u to make the effort to come out to coondoo , check out the 4hr track and give the club a hand.
Regards Craig if it is raining sat morn, stay in bed!

If you do come out to Coondoo on Sat. use the comberton grange entry. The entry off forest road is cut up real bad from wet weather and 4wd mud runners. It is dry now but has deep ruts. High clearance vehicles o.k but low rides no go.
This event will be a good warm up for those off to the mont the week after. Good chance for testing those new lights and to hone your speedy transition skills.

It was a great night. Again great to see plenty of people out for a fun ride, oh and the Rockstar's.
Thanks to everyone who helped to get the event going and with timing etc.

Hi all, This is my first post so hi to everyone in SCUMland!
Just want to say thanks to the volunteers for putting on a great night of riding, the course was lots of fun. This was my first ride with SCUM and only my second organised ride ever ( first was only a few weeks ago in Capital Punishment). At the age of 36 I am bit late but we can't all be young Whippets! Couldn't believe the rider etiquette during the race, everyone was so patient and polite. Looking forward to the next ride, Russ ( another one! )
