Hey guys was just wondering why you don't hold any winter DH scum rounds. I love the track and the club rounds are great, but they only happen at the end of the year. So i was thinking we could get some winter rounds going, if the track needed a quick tidy/fix up before the rounds started i would happily volunteer to help as would my mates. We could even make it a ride build day.

Yeah I check the forum from time to time Zenon, but didn't have a definitive answer to your question so didn't post anything......basically though.....we decided to run a DH series for 2 years to see if we could generate interest for the DH side of SCUM.....the same people ran the races both years (numerous requests were made for parents or friends to step up and help but to no avail...we're not professional event organisers, we're riders like you)....and we didn't get one new member...so I guess everyone is happy to stay members of WMBC and ride their DH track....where is that again?!?! We have the AGM coming up soon and I'm not aware of anyone taking on the role of DH co ordinator....so as far as a series this year...your guess is as good as mine....  |
