Hi All, Next Round is at Butterfly on Sunday 15th may, racing starts at 9am. Wish I had something different to say but unfortunatley its more of the same old whine! WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! As i will be away, for the round to go ahead, we need a race director and two others to help with rego and timing. Those interested pls reply via this forum or give me a call on 0422 368 300. Good Luck Craig

I am unable to ride as I have a Christening to attend at 11am, but I am happy to drive down and help with track prep, setting up time station or whatever until about 9:30am. I am available the afternoon before too if that is of any help. Just let me know. Regards, Russ.

Hi all,
Completed a general tidy up of Butterfly today to clear rocks, sticks and do some drainage work.
Apart from being a bit wet (16mm of rain overnight) and a challenge to get the car out there the track is in good shape for a race on the 15th May.
Thanks to my wife Kate who came out and helped me get the track back up to shape.
SCUM desperately need some members, or parents/partners/sons/daughters/friends of members to step up and volunteer to help out on race days. Clubs like this need all members to get involved and do their bit. This way the load is shared out and those very valuable members of the committee who make all the right decisions to allow us to race don't get tired of doing everything and decide to leave. Then we are in real trouble!
Please contact Craig if you can help out with the race on the 15th May.
Also, we will be holding a track prep session at 3pm on Saturday the 14th May. This will involve a final track clean-up and marking of the track for the race the next day. We will meet at the start finish area at the quarry on Butterfly Road.
Please let me know on geoff.lkht@gmail.com or 44225018 if you plan to help out with the track prep session on the 14th May. That way I will know who's coming.
Thanks guys,
Geoff Lockhart

Onyabike/Russ, You are more than welcome to come down and help out on race morning. There is always plenty to do. If you can make it come down on the sat 14th have a ride and help set up for race day. Cheers, Russ

Hi everyone
Dad and i are running the race. I would still like to ride so if anyone can help do timeing it's not hard. Ill do rego before i ride and help out or if you can help Geoff out the day before to prep it would help out alot.
The same people are always doing the work so if you got some spare time to help out it would be good.

Luke, make sure you put 'Race Director' on your resume mate.
Same goes for any of you other young riders that are prepared to take on this role.
It's all experience.
Would be nice to see some of the more 'mature' riders have their turn too though! Doesn't matter if it's race director, timing, race prep, track prep, whatever. More hands make it all work much more efficiently.

Luke Sigrid and Paris said they will help with rego to learn the entry process and Sigrid will help with timing for the race so you can ride

Hi everyone,
We still need more volunteers to help out with the track preparation at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
We will be meeting at the start/finish area at the quarry on Butterfly Rd.
Please bring a rake, some boots and gloves if you like, and.... maybe we don't need mossie repellant anymore...but don't take my word for it!
This is a quick rake over of a few sections of track and some directional signage for the race the next morning.
Please let Geoff know if you are interested in helping out on geoff.lkht@gmail.com or 0418165228

Big thanks to Iain Watt, Russell Rodrigues and Tony Conroy for helping get the track ready today.
If a couple of riders can help mark the track in the morning that would be appreciated. Please see Luke and Ross who I believe have the signs, barricades, bunting , etc. About 7.30am would be best I think.
See you all then!
