As you all know, or should know, races don't just happen. We get these opportunities because people do there bit so that all members get to enjoy a ride together.
With this race we had several people helping prepare the course for the weekend. Thanks to Andrew (Valleyboy), Geoff Lockhart and Brain Bates for their help with this.
Luke and Ross Harden for running the event and the timing, cheers.
Two Guys that put in many, many hours of work for this club of ours are Duncan Miller and Russ Phellan. I can't tell you how many hours Duncan has put into our tracks because you might tell Helen and she might tell my wife and then well both be in trouble. Next time you see Duncan, and the State Round would be good time to catch him, say thanks, tell him about your favorite bit of track and how much you love leaves.
On this race alone Russ was out for 6 hours Friday marking the course and on Saturday he was on site by 9.30am and was still there when I left at 4pm. Russ is currently doing too much but fortunately for those that ride he has a love for SCUM. We need to look after our Russes so lend a hand when you can, lots of little bits is what a club needs. Thanks Russ.
I know I've missed some but please know all efforts are appreciated. Thanks to those that have already volunteered to run races coming up it's a great encouragement to those running the club.
Cheers Matt

This club started, grew, functioned and will continue to exist through 90% passion and 10% duty.....try not to focus on the duty....seek, maintain and be thankful for the passion!...
