"Fling awesome" and "don't even feel to wrecked right now, but lets leave my time out of it, hey..." were just some of the comments post 2011 Highland Fling. The Fling is one of a few times a year the usually sleepy town of Bundanoon is awakened with a chorus of pedal clicks and gear crunches. Nestled in the Southern Highlands and close to great MTB location of Wingello the competitors were in for a treat. Dr Words and soon to be Vid mcrummy.blogspot.com. |

I have to say it was Fling awesome too.
My first highland fling and racing in elite men.
Up, down, up, down is all it seams like you do.
Me 18th in elite men
Tristan Ward 13th in elite men
Rhys Flahive i think 16th in elite men and his dad Andrew all so placing well.
Also i say Duncan Millers name some where in the 100 mile fling, well done for just the attempt.
A bit of fun and made a great Sunday ride.

Have to agree it was a great event! Was my first 100kayer and my aim was to finish which I did ....just! The pace of the elite guys was incredible, read a blog somewhere that they were sitting on about 45km/h on a flat fire road..crickey!! Good thing about a terrible time is that I should be able to better it next year  |
