Hopefully updates tomorrow after some surgery.
At the moment it's a broken collarbone and smashed up knee.

Sounds like he did a good job on the knee. Had surgery last night and is expected to to have more in a couple of days.
Reports are sketchy but it seems like the bike and the tree are both ok.

I am sure he has seen my video. I thought that may have put him off.
It took me about 3 years to realise that trees are magnetic when riding a DH bike ;D

Trees are OK as long as you dont try and rugby tackle them...let your bike be the fuse...I've had to replace two wheels (in separate incidents) due to trees...no surgery though. ;D
