What a great event to start the 2012 SCUM year off. I'm sure everyone enjoyed this new (to SCUM) type of event.
In a nutshell it went like this:
get map
15 min before race start get check point co-ordinates. plan your most efficient route to reach as many check point in alloted time
race start
race to the first of your check points.
write down the code, have a breather, then on to the next one. If you hang around too long the monster bush flies will attack.
after 3 hours, back to to start/ finish
points are awarded for number of check points reached and bonus points for scoring high on the dart board.
Presentation.
BBQ and drinks.
It can be a pretty hard workout or just a cruize through the bush.
Come along next year and enjoy.
The Results.
1st. Craig Hitchcock/Jason Hogan 34 points
2nd.Mark Astley/Russ Phelan 33 points
3rd.Meagan Binder/Matt Kidd 29 points
There were then 3 teams with 22 points, 1 with 12 and 1 with 10.
The trophy awarded to the winners (in the above photo) will be awarded each year to the winning team.
