Not sure where the track marking is at but I have access from time to time of poly pipe offcuts which could be placed 600mm above ground to mark major points of the tracks. Just an idea and there free and easily marked, if the photo attached properly it took me 5 mins with a soldering iron to etch it. Attachments:

good idea, cheap and safe. We could get our signage done on small steel and rivet or screw it in.

Really good idea for posts. We do need to use proper signs but as posts go that'd work great. Had considered the white plastic pipe but wasn't sold, poly would def be better

Good thinking Tony. The price is right too. Easy to replace if damaged and won't rot or rust. Maybe try some white or yellow or orange paint in the lettering to make it stand out.

Ok, I've got a couple sitting in the garage and can put them in somewhere on Monday - Start area at Coondoo maybe?? - and we can see how they work.

Been out this morning and put in a couple of markers at Coondoo - see what you think. As stated above alternate markers can easily be screwed to the posts if needed. Did a bit of a count yesterday when I went for a ride and I think we would need 10 markers at Coondoo to clearly mark the standard track so as too ensure that even the most directionally challenged riders wouldn't get lost (would also allow riders to enter from other tracks/trails).
