Yeah it's well put together, but gotta say it doesn't sell superbowl as a AM destination. Probably got something to do with it being too wet (for all you kids at home we discourage riding tracks while they are running with water). It's probably not an easy thing to capture but going down there is wayyyy more fun that it looks, and there is a great line through those log barriers that no one's using these days. Because it'll a top to bottom blast you'll see a number of corners reshaped by riders taking more aggressive lines and there's air to be had in places you wouldn't even think normally. It'll be good to see some fast riders take it on! Was thinking the same thing Duncan. Maybe we can get some more AM footage later.

By the sounds of it and the whinging on the forum & rotorburn I should just remove the video. Sorry for trying the help the club seeing as though it was 3 mates having a Sunday arvo ride. Feel free to make your own video and a video of funnelweb is not helping the race at 'Superbowl'

...a video of funnelweb is not helping the race at 'Superbowl'...what you've taken a survey or something?!?!...Luke, you're a very good XC rider....and I think I'll leave it at that.

No i have not taken a survey and yes my comment may of been a bit harsh only now noticing the word 'potential' but I was only trying to help the club by making the video to give people a taste of the track. Maybe on Saturday make another that makes the track look more of an AM track.

I just realised I am double booked and wont be able to make it tomorrow.
With 70mm of rain over the last few days I can't see much riding or filming happening anyway.

Duncan,
Are you still looking at going out on Saturday, or should I bring flippers?

Saturday morning at superbowl is still on (as at now). We will still be able to walk the track and trim some overgrowth and maybe do some repair work in a few places. As for riding the track we can assess that on the day. I am still bringing the timing gear and if we don't ride the track we can perhaps ride the firetrail and do a mock AM. The timing computers wont know the diff. Remember, is good mozzie weather ;-) Meet at approx. 8am at butterfly/tallowwood intersection. (the normal spot.)

Yeah should be a good few people out there if it stops raining and it'll be good conditions for track work.

Some nice lines there Pat. Big thanks to Adam, Duncan, Pat, Russ and Vanessa for all your help today. This track is really begining to shine now. Just a few finishing touches and minor adjustments here and there and it will be gold. Track work/mods like this really benefit from throwing ideas to and fro between XC and DH riders. I learned many things today from those in the know.
Thanks again,
Russ
