SCUM is hosting Round 2 of the NSW AM series on the 6th of May. This type of event is new for us and a lot of the stuff we have planned to do will be trial and error. But one thing we have to get right on the day is the timing. I am anouncing a working bee and trial run of the course on the 21st April. The work to the track should be minimal but we have to do some work up on Forest Rd where car parking will be and also at the bottom of Tallowood Rd. When we are happy with the track work i plan on setting up the timing and communication equipment and have several riders test the course out and sort any problems we may envcounter with either. Be good if people could be at Butterfly/Tallowwood rd about 8am so we can get all this sorted and hopfully not be there too long. The more hands we get the easier it will be and you will get some good runs in. Post any questions or see me tomorrow at the race (BUTTERFLY RD 2)

Some of the tasks that need doing are: log rollover rehab.( shovel, mattock) regrowth trimming (garden shears) car park (off Forest Rd) tidy up. (brush cutter) finish area tidy up (not the track) (bottom of Tallowood Rd) (light rake) general stick removal from track.
So bring your pruning gear, gloves, plastic rake, long handle shovel. I may think of other stuff and will post if i do.

Yeah it's well put together, but gotta say it doesn't sell superbowl as a AM destination. Probably got something to do with it being too wet (for all you kids at home we discourage riding tracks while they are running with water).
It's probably not an easy thing to capture but going down there is wayyyy more fun that it looks, and there is a great line through those log barriers that no one's using these days.
Because it'll a top to bottom blast you'll see a number of corners reshaped by riders taking more aggressive lines and there's air to be had in places you wouldn't even think normally. It'll be good to see some fast riders take it on!
