I was also out at Coondoo this arvo but on foot checking how the new work is holding up. Plenty of mtb tyre tracks but as lewy said no moto tracks. Hard to tell how the sandy corner in hot as hell is coping as it is still damp and firm but i'm pretty confidant that this method of sandy trail stablisation is a winner.

There will be a Dig and Ride day at Coondoo on saturday 20th july starting 9am. What work we don’t get done we will back up again on sunday 21st. Please advise anybody wishing to come along to bring boots and gloves. And their bike of course. I will organise a bbq and some snags and drinks. There are some sandy corners that will need some attention so there will be a bit of shovel, rake and wheelbarrow action. I haven’t ridden the full loop yet since the rain but word back from those who have said it was real good apart from those few sandy corners. If I can get some more rocks the sandy corners will be sorted. More info soon.

My plan is to get some rocks out to Coondoo on friday ready for dig and ride on saturday. I'll be there from 8.30ish on saturday morning and i know of at least one other person confirmed to be there also. What will be required is wheelbarrows and rakes. I will bring one wheelbarrow and about 4 rakes. 3 more barrows would be good. I am also bringing the mini loader to load the barrows. (shoveling rocks is a PITA) If i know that there will be a good turn out i will bring the bbq and some grub. The time to put your hand up is now. Those that have work committments sat morns don't dispair we can save some work for you in the afternoon or on sunday morning. As you will already know Sunday is a social ride day. While this is going on, the crossover bridge at the dam will have a trial construction. feel free to lend a hand and have a test ride. Lets just hope the weather doesn't turn to crap.

I may have told some people that we will be setting up the crossover bridge this Saturday, but this is now on SUNDAY. ;D The bridge bits will be arriving at Coondoo at approx 9am. Assistance would be awesome in unloading and assembling the bridge and then of coarse riding over and under it. It will then be dismantled and loaded back on the trailer only to return for the Singletrack Mind 7 hour on the 4th August. Think positive thoughts for fine weather.
