- Catch up with old friends and making some new.
- Fantastic, inspiring yet strangely weird, why put yourself through this, performances.

There were quite a few SCUM members and local defence cycle members who rode at these world marathon champs.
Some listed here that I have spotted in the results:
Jake and Ian Whitton
Duncan Miller
Mark Astley
Michael Crummy
Elvio Fernandes
Hieu Nguyen
Heres hoping that these competitors can get some words to Geoff Lockhart for some media coverage.

Login and locate the Race Report attachment under 'Race Reports' on the Forum.
I'm sure plenty of local readers would love to hear about the experience of riding a 24 hour event.
Don't forget a photo and give the photographer/photo company a name too.

A belated congratulations goes out to Wollongong member of SCUM Liz Smith who place 4th in elite women at the WEMBO 24hr.
Liz went in to the event reigning Aussie 24hr womens champ. Liz and David are regulars at our dusk enduro's.
Awesome effort Liz.
