As mentioned previously and discussed at the AGM SCUM have been asked to host the NSW State XC Championships.
We have agreed to work with NSW MTB to make this happen.
The event will be on the 28th of August and will be held at Superbowl.
More details to come but the main thing to remember is that while there are Elite categories and there will be Elite level riders everyone is welcome to ride in a wide range of available categories and we especially encourage local juniors and female riders to be involved.

SCUM and NSW MTB are hosting the NSW State XC Champs on August 28, 2011. Club categories are based on SCUM's normal race categories. Club C and Club B are non championship categories. Laps will be reviewed and may change on the day, depending on conditions etc |

Please start registering via WWW.MTBA.ASN.AU .. If you'd like the NSW XCO champs to continue beyond this year you need to show your support by attending and racing. At only $10 for Juniors and $15 for Adults it simply could not be easier. SCUM have set up an ACE track (Superbowl) and the racing should be absolutely top notch. Get all your buddies to enter.. even the 'once a bluemoon racer' is very welcome. XCO is over in less than 1.5hours - so you can drive down from Sydney, race and then get home all in just a half day. Someone's got to be the NSW State champ in every catagory.. It just may well be you.. think of the bragging rights you will have for a whole year. Sign up now. Just checking you have the super masters male doing the same laps as masters and veterans is this correct. Also is it possible that supermasters start seperatley to the sport men . Last year we started together and it did make competing more difficult.

Yes you can enter on the day, although expect to pay $5 extra.
We're discussing how that may be waived for those helping out on the day etc.
Super master and Masters are down for the same number of laps and will be starting general time.
Actual laps for the day may be varied if the conditions etc dictate, but historically Super Masters have had no problems sticking to the masters.
Start groups will be staggered. So Vet, Masters, Super Masters, will start apart.

I noticed that www.diymtb.com.au hasn't been acknowledged on this website despite the many man hours donated to SCUM to put this race on. Your advertising rep is crap. So I'll mention that site again www.diymtb.com.auLet's support our locals that put so much into our club. Check out the new brake pads I tested them down Cannonball on Monday and they where sensational. Pulled up my 100kg payload quickly and solidly the whole way down. Cheers Matt |

For those with little ones we've put in a small track for the kids near the event center so that they can get dirty on the SCUMBAG, SCUM Boys and Girls track.
