Finally got some, they're called olive clips or shock cord ties.
Found'em at the local Yacht shop...

Finally got my frame and fork to build myself a tourer.... Frame is an old Apollo which I got powder coated in orange (with a speckle of course) and the forks are Surly Trolls. Looking forward to getting it all together ;D Russ

You may start a new trend using minions as touring tyres

Been following you on Instagram, Russ. Spectacular pix and wonderful adventure. I may have caught the bug, pick myself up a 2man (read: 1man with me it!) tent and air bed from SAMS Warehouse the other day for the princely sum of $42 all up.

My bike set up for day ride to Minnamurra. Didn't ride with a backpack and all gear fitted into frame bag and seat bag easily. Carried water in bottles. Found that the cheaper bottle cages don't have the strength to hold full bottles on fork legs. Think i'll try thicker aluminium type or stainless steel. With the extra weight I reckon a smaller granny ring than the 28 tooth i'm running is needed. Or just hike up the bigger hills. Okaruss

Hope you've been breaking that Brooks saddle in Russ or it will break you!

Looks good Russ. Have you tried plastic cateye or elite bottle cages?
Have been using the cateye ones for years without issue.
