Those that come out to Coondoo on Saturday the main type of work required is pruning along the sides single track. I will have a number of hand shears and gloves for those who take on that task. It is important though not to create 'stab' hazards by cutting stiff stem plants just above ground level. Either cut the whippy tops off or cut them at ground level. I will also bring two brush cutters. I know Pat is keen to get on the brush cutter to clear his 'flight path' at the bottom of Rock'n'Roll. ;D The other jobs are to screw or nail a couple of new planks on the bridge between Bob sled and Cypress Hill. I have the planks and I will bring screws, battery drill, nails hammer etc. Also need to check that all the log rollovers are solid and not going to move around under many wheels. Many hands make light work and if this stuff can be knocked over on Sat we can ride Sunday. I'll be there a bit earlier than 10am if there are any others wanting to start early Thanks, Russ

I'll be there with tools on!!
I have a few hand shears and loppers and lots of gloves so I'll bring those. Is there any track work being done? I've got mattocks, rakes and shovels etc too.
What time Russ? I've got no (working) bike at the moment so limited to walking distance from the trailhead but I do have 4WD if a drop off down some firetrails is needed.

I can make it out there this Sunday morning for a couple of hours, I have Auskick coaching on Sat so I am definitely out for most of the day. I can look at Pats "Pinchclimb" section and down further trimming the edges on the rock n roll side. No chainsaw though only manual trimming stuff and rakes. Hope that helps..

No new track work is planned but some tidying up of some rutted bits and sandy bits will be done if time and labour permits.
I'm planning on being there around 8am. I will bring water, milk and gas stove to make tea/coffee. Just bring your own tucker of choice.

Definitely need to clean up a few sandy patches. The one leading from Hot as Hell to the fire trail claimed me last night. Clobbered the tree on the left! Also the series of sand traps down in the lower section of the first part of single track (I don't know all the names) leading towards Beach Street and Missing Link. I'll also bring a brushcutter with a steel blade, some pruning tools and a rake. Should be out there somewhere about 9am Saturday. Geoff

I've got a bit on this weekend but can get out early Saturday, probably about 6am. I'll play around with that new rollover before the dam and maybe grub out all the small stumps and prune Gimlet.

Just remember...a hole where a stump used to be is just as much (and sometimes more) a hazard than leaving the stump there.

I think I'll head into the first part of Bobsled and slash the grasses back off the track a bit, unless you want me somewhere else. Will also prune any branches back that are problems down that way.
If I get time I'll move back up towards Hot as Hell from there.

Well I finally got out there and did some hard labour for a change, the Skinny tree had been knocked over since the guys went out saturday and simons run through. It had been snapped at the bar end marks and over onto the track, I had to cut it clean at the base to prevent a stump sticking out of the ground. Also found another dead tree toppled over onto the track Nr the dirt mound roll over, cleared that and a couple of small stumps on the edge of the track. Did some track clearing, not as heavy duty as some of the guys but did a lot of raking too, had a bit of fun out there doing it and should have ridden it afterwards to see how it went without the leaves. Hope that helps out and if it is what you guys normally do. What I saw Sun Morn The clean up A bit of raking Cheers Ades
